Y6 Summer Fayre14-07-2010 | 16:21:22 | No Comments

On Friday 9th July it was the Year 6 summer fayre. It was fantastic weather which was great for the year 6 children who have put a lot of time and effort into planning their own stalls and games. Many parents also attended which was excellent. Thankyou to all parents and relatives who spent money or gave money to their children to spend on the day.

Over the last week we have also had the Athletic Championships. The field events (Jumping and throwing) were hosted at Brumby and the running events were at Quibell park. It took a fantastic amount of organisation for both parts of the event so thank you to all staff and parents from all schools who helped out. Below are some pictures from the field events:

Sports Day14-07-2010 | 16:08:30 | No Comments

What a busy week we have had at Brumby with a host of various events happening around school! On Wednesday 7th July we had sports day for the whole school with Y3+4 in the morning and Y5+6 in the afternoon. Luckily the rain held off and the day went smoothly, aside from a few tripping overs during the racing. The children really enjoyed it.

Make yourself safe when using Facebook!12-07-2010 | 20:34:56 | No Comments

We are aware there are many children that use Facebook although though the minimum age is supposed to be 13. CEOP and Facebook have teamed up to create an application that allows you to report anything you are unhappy with online, or whilst using Facebook. This could be anything from someone being nasty to you online to someone using language or questions that you do not feel comfortable with. We strongly suggest that you click the link in this post to add the new CEOP application and tab to your Facebook account so that if you are going to use Facebook you know where to click if you are unhappy with anything at all that happens online. Parents please insist your children install the application if you know they use Facebook. http://apps.facebook.com/clickceop/ or click the button below.

Lincoln Gardens 1-6 Brumby Juniors17-06-2010 | 17:23:12 | No Comments

The Y5 football team finally got another match this season against Lincoln Gardens in which they ran out 6-1 winners. They did fantastic against a well organised and determined Lincoln Gardens team. They also had to adapt to playing 8-a-side, changing from their usual 7-a-side which they have played all year. It was a very hot evening to be playing an hour of football. See some of the action shots at the end. Well done lads!
